Aviation Lime is a new aerial lime product developed collaboratively between Fertco, McDonald’s & Super Air to both aid in pilot safety and deliver an agronomic benefit to you the farmer

The ACC & NZAA recommendation is that when spreading lime aerially 80% of the hopper load should be ale to discharge within 5 seconds. Our new Aviation Lime was shown to conform to the requirements when trialled by Super Air

Aviation Lime’s recommended application rate is 600 kg p.ha when compared to McDonalds previously supplied aerial lime. The lower rate is achievable because the Aviation Lime is a combination of Ag-Lime and G-Lime. (G-lime contains calcium oxide and therefore has a high neutralising value).

The table below shows a cost comparison between Ag Lime and Aviation Lime.

Testimonial

“Super Air conducted trials using an aviation lime developed by Fertco. The product is a blend of standard Ag Lime and Fertco’s granular high analysis G-Lime. The purpose was to test the products conformity to meet the NZAAA safety guidelines for aerial application of lime whilst not compromising the agronomic benefit of the product to the farmer.

As a result of the trials, Super Air are happy to endorse Fertco’s Aviation Lime”
