Controlled Release Nitrogen
NSmart, exclusively available through Fertco, is a urea prill in an organic based polymer coating that controls the nitrogen release to match crop and pasture demand. There are significant advantages with NSmart over standard uncoated urea. The polymer coating allows NSmart to be applied in any weather and it can be mixed with other dry fertilisers enabling it to be applied as part of the farms overall fertiliser programme. One application of NSmart provides nitrogen for continuous plant growth over 3-4 months and on dairy pasture, nitrogen applications can be reduced to 2-3 times per year.
